I have been teaching for 14 years in secondary schools around Gloucestershire. I trained in teaching Drama alongside English but Drama is my first love and I am currently Head of Performing Arts at a secondary school in Dursley. Before teaching, I worked in the entertainment industry and fully understand the joy and freedom of performing.
I am passionate about spreading the importance of creativity and the opportunities it gives our students. As a new Head of Department, I am also very aware of the profession's demands and the need to have a supportive 'net' around you to keep the creative wheels turning (and stop you from going completely loopy!) I am looking forward to forging new links, supporting some inspirational teachers and having fun. Teaching is bloomin' hard - let's help each other out!
